This is the first of my plumbing jobs that will go into this project. This is the 3/4" return from the sump and the Spray bar output for the return. I will add more details when it is completed. I am running a Mag 7 return pump which should easily produce the 500 GPH flow I want back into the tank. The spray bars are 16" long each and have a 5/32" hole on the front and top every 1". With 1-1/2" on each end for the T and caps that leaves me with 52 5/32" holes. I am hoping this will give me a nice even flow through most of the tank without creating any really strong currents. Higher currents will be supplied by power heads for now and eventually a closed loop system.
The last few pictures show the finishing touches to the return plumbing. I have added a second ball valve near the return pump to control the flow rate and a check valve to make sure the tank does not drain back into the sump if the pump goes out.
