Tired of buying someone else's junk?  If you are interested in this iMac, rest assured knowing it is probably the nicest iMac G5 on eBay in some time.  It is about as close as you are going to get to going back in time and buying one of these new then opening the box for the first time.

My mother purchased this iMac G5 new when they first came out.  I unboxed it for her and set it up on her desk.  There it sat for five years being used every day until this past December when my father bought her a new 21.5" iMac for Christmas.  On Christmas day when I set up the new iMac for her I boxed this one up and it has sat since.  She has no use for it and neither do it, so I am selling it for her.  There is nothing wrong with this iMac, and in the five years since she purchased it, nothing went wrong with it.  I know these iMac G5s are known for capacitor problems.  This one has the original capacitors and they show no signs of failure as I show in the below photos.  The hard drive is the original 80GB one shipping with the computer.  The 1GB of RAM is original, and was the only build to order upgrade she added to it when it was purchased direct from Apple.

It includes the original box with matching serial numbers.  The original install disks are also included.  It even has the modem cable, which I doubt you would use, but it just makes the package that much more complete.  I ran the Apple Hardware Test on the included CD and posted a photo of the results.  There are no dead pixels on the screen, and no dark spots (bruises) which are often on abused LCDs.  There are no scuffs or scrapes on the case of the computer.  All of the screws are in good condition and not stripped out from use with the wrong sized screwdriver.  It is from a non smoking home.  About once a year I would open it up and thoroughly clean it out with compressed air for my mother.  I believe this is partially why she never had any capacitor issues.
