Rockford Fosgate Punch 225.2, and Punch 240.4
This auction is for (1) Rockford Fosgate Punch 225.2, and (1) Rockford Fosgate Punch 240.4. A single Punch Link will also be included in the auction, so that the two amps may be linked together for an impressive installation. I purchased the Punch 225.2 back in 1998 and used it for about three months. I then purchased a larger Punch amp and kept the 225.2 as a spare. All original packaging materials are included with the 225.2, as is the fuse holder and wrench kit. This amp is in mint condition, except for a few finger prints, and some dust.
A few months ago, I acquired the 240.4 with the intent to link the two amps and install them in a second vehicle. I ended up with a different pair of amps, and no longer have a use for these. The 240.4 was screwed to a demo rack in a stereo shop. I am not certain, but I believe that the amp has never even been used. It is just as mint as the 225.2. I DO NOT have the box, or manual or any thing else that should have come with the 240.4.
After getting the 240.4, I bought this punch link. It does not match any of my other amps, so I am including it with this auction.
"Old School" RF amps like these were well known to produce well above their rated power. For this reason I included the "Power Cube" measurements to compare against other amplifiers. These amplifiers also use the "X-Card" crossover design. Although being a pain at times to change, this method is far more accurate and useful than the current RF "knob" crossover.
I will not let these amps sell for any less than my posted starting price. I am not pressed for cash at the moment, and am only selling these amps as an opportunity for someone who likes "old school" Rockford gear to get a great setup. The chance of me ever using these amps is very low. As stated above, both of these amps are MINT, and also are relatively rare to find. I highly doubt that there are many of these amps in as good or better condition.
